[Kerala University English Teacher Educator’s Forum - KUETEF]

The English Language Teachers Association of India, ELT@I, in the recently concluded  7^th International and 43^rd  Annual Conference  explored some interesting themes:

Bridge Courses

Training or teaching?

Creating skills profile

General English Syllabi

English for Employability

Portfolios and its role in assessment

Networking for progress/Teachers’ Associations and Informal Groups.

Use of Web technologies such as blogs, podcasts, social networks, Google Docs, ebooks, online maps, virtual field trips, etc.

The Conference organized  by  Velammal Engineering  College, Chennai,  provided an opportunity to showcase experiments and success stories related to some of the themes mentioned above.

The IX meeting of KUETEF (See Post # 37) had discussed the possibility of organizing a one-day workshop or seminar to discuss similar themes  mentioned above. If  the management of Teacher Education Colleges  affiliated to the University of Kerala is interested in  associating with KUETEF  to organize a Workshop or Seminar, please  contact us.

Though it is heartening to note that  the KUETEF fraternity regularly accesses this blog, poor attendance during our meetings is a cause for concern.
